I have been shooting photos my entire life. As a kid I would roam around with my latest Kodak point and shoot camera taking pictures of friends, family, and the outdoors. As I got older, my cameras got a little better and my photography skills got a bit better. Then came the day my Dad handed me his used Canon 20D camera and a lens. That was all it took to really ignite my passion for photography. I still have that old 20D, that is something I can never get rid of it, but recently I switched to Fuji. Currently I am shooting with a XT-5 with XF lenses.

I have trained and worked as an archaeologist for more than 25 years. This has given me a great appreciation for people and other cultures. With that passion I have been able to travel, both locally and around the world, and really try to see the people, places, and experiences around me. I have incorporated this love of travel, people, and civilizations into my photography. When I started taking photographs, I was documenting places, for the most part. The beauty of nature and the outdoors has always intrigued me and probably always will. It is recently that I have challenged myself to get closer to my true passion. To push myself to photograph the world, the people, and their customs a bit closer. As a photographer, I now like to wander the streets of cities and villages as I observe people and their activities, and their interconnectedness with each other, animals, architecture, and objects. I capture the fleeting moments that will never happen exactly like that again. Sometimes the moments are happy, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, but never the same. I will always love a beautiful landscape or a stunning sunset, but photographing people and their experiences and ways of life challenges me and ignites my soul.

With my photography, I would like to share the world I have so greatly enjoyed capturing. If you are interested in purchasing any of my photographs, please contact me.
